Home battery assessment
APsystems battery savings & installer quotes
- APbattery adds lithium iron phosphate storage to APstorage
- Supported parallel battery configurations can increase storage
- Check state and utility rebates; eligibility varies
- Shortlist Solar-vetted installers, subject to availability
What could a battery save you?
APstorage with APbattery

Enter your ZIP code to get started.
No contact details needed to see your estimate. Request quotes only when you’re ready.
Estimates use a general battery model, not a specific product. Actual savings depend on your electricity plan, usage and installation. Quotes depend on installer availability.
What goes into your APsystems battery?
APstorage is APsystems’ energy-storage offering. Experience with APsystems microinverters is a starting point, but a storage project also requires the right power-conversion equipment and battery.
Existing solar and compatibility
A microinverter installer listing is not proof of experience with your proposed APstorage configuration.
From your APsystems assessment to a quote request
Start with your ZIP code, whether you have solar and your power bill. The assessment uses those answers to model battery savings, with assumptions shown alongside the result; it is not a performance calculation for a particular APsystems model.
If you want to continue, your APsystems preference and assessment answers carry into the quote form on this page.
A request is subject to participating-installer availability for your address and APsystems. Ask any matched company who will do the work, and verify the crew’s current licensing, insurance and relevant manufacturer training.
Before you accept a APsystems proposal
- Identify the APstorage power-conversion system and battery model.
- Ask the installer to explain the backup circuit design for your home.
- Check model-specific integration guidance rather than assuming every APsystems installation is storage-ready.
A closer look at your APsystems installation plan
Describe whether the APsystems project includes APstorage. Existing microinverters identify the solar equipment. They do not identify the new battery. Ask the contractor to name the power-conversion system. Request the supported DC storage configuration. The assessment cannot infer a complete home backup arrangement from the devices already under the panels.
Ask the APstorage designer to explain every added electrical component. A transfer arrangement should be visible on the drawing. Have any model-specific transformer or control requirements identified. Clarify what existing solar equipment remains. Compare the household backup scope with another complete installation. A microinverter quote and an APstorage proposal should remain distinguishable even when one company offers both.
Keep the APstorage commissioning record beside the solar inventory. Request separate explanations of production and storage monitoring. Ask who configures battery communication. Identify the service contact for the assembled system. Have the intended outage behavior demonstrated. Later equipment changes should be assessed using the conversion and battery models actually installed.
Prepare your APsystems quote checklist
Bring the APsystems installer a recent electricity bill, your tariff name and any interval-usage data your utility makes available. Describe when the home uses power, when an EV is parked at home and whether heating, cooling or a pump dominates demand; the estimate’s bill band is a starting point rather than a replacement for those details.
Ask for the APsystems proposal to separate equipment, electrical changes, permits, commissioning and any optional work. Confirm the usable capacity, continuous output and backup arrangement for the complete configuration being quoted, and identify exclusions before agreeing to an installation scope.
Have each APsystems installer use the same list of appliances and the same backup priorities when preparing a design. If two proposals differ in battery quantity, controller equipment or circuits, ask for the reason in writing; a lower total may reflect a different job rather than a saving on an equivalent system.
Check the assumptions behind a APsystems savings projection: electricity rates, export credits, daily usage, charging sources, reserve settings and future price increases. Request a comparison using your current tariff as well as any proposed tariff change, and keep bill savings separate from equipment cost, financing and the value you place on backup.
Before accepting a APsystems contract, identify the company responsible for permits, utility permission, inspections and commissioning. Confirm the payment milestones and what happens if site inspection changes the equipment or electrical scope; do not treat an indicative assessment or an initial quote as a completed site design.
Keep the final APsystems equipment schedule, warranty conditions and workmanship terms with the signed proposal. Ask who handles an installation fault, whether diagnosis and labor are covered and how to contact service if the original salesperson is unavailable; a manufacturer's equipment warranty does not by itself explain every installation responsibility.
APsystems assessment questions
Will the assessment predict my exact APsystems savings?
The calculator does not select APstorage conversion equipment or its battery. It uses household answers to model storage savings. Ask a designer to assess the supported US arrangement and existing microinverters independently of that result.
Can I explore APsystems if I already have solar?
A microinverter installer listing is not proof of experience with your proposed APstorage configuration.
What happens when I request APsystems quotes?
Your APsystems preference continues into the optional contact form. Matching considers eligible participating installers and verified brand credentials where available, with no more than three matches and possibly none. Confirm that a responding company offers APstorage commissioning rather than only microinverter installation.
Does an APsystems assessment commit me to buying?
An APsystems assessment does not place an APstorage order. The household estimate and optional request are free through Shortlist. Accepting a battery pairing or installation agreement is a separate decision after reviewing the contractor’s complete scope.
