Ask where additional SigenStor modules would go, what clearances must stay empty and whether the proposed controller supports that future arrangement. Have the installer identify any limits involving module generation, electrical capacity, permitted location and utility approval. An expansion plan is useful only if it describes the actual equipment being offered.

For a home with existing solar, provide photographs of the inverter labels and the original electrical diagram if you have it. Ask the SigenStor designer to mark which equipment remains, which is replaced and how solar behaves while the grid is unavailable. If a compatibility statement refers to a global brochure, request the corresponding US document for the quoted models before relying on it.

Ask for the SigenStor handover to include the commissioned settings, homeowner app access and a demonstration of the agreed operating modes. Record who can change the reserve setting and what happens when internet access is interrupted. Confirm the customer support route, the applicable warranty document and the division of responsibility between the installer and manufacturer for diagnosis, labor and replacement equipment.

Bring the Sigenergy installer a recent electricity bill, your tariff name and any interval-usage data your utility makes available. Describe when the home uses power, when an EV is parked at home and whether heating, cooling or a pump dominates demand; the estimate’s bill band is a starting point rather than a replacement for those details.
